LOS ANGELES — Irish band U2's current 360 world tour is the most successful ever, beating the record set by The Rolling Stones(滚石乐队) four years ago, promoters(承办人) Live Nation Entertainment said on Monday.
The Irish supergroup, who played Brazil over the weekend, will gross(获得……的总收入) ticket sales of more than $700 million when their 360 tour finally wraps up(完成) in Canada in July, Live Nation said.
The U2 360 tour, staged in the round in a transportable(可运输的) stadium, will have been seen by more than 7 million people in 30 countries when it ends.
The Rolling Stones 2005-07 Bigger Bang Tour took $554 million in ticket sales, Live Nation said.
